Laptop Troubleshooting Panasonic CF-52/60, 70, 80, 82 Model using bios settings, do NOT use jacks
Get Network and Sharing Center in Windows 7
Browse to a shared location where the user has a folder on their computer which they have access to. (Any folder in My Documents, etc)
Turn off firewall
Click on Network and Sharing Center
Click on Internet Protocol Version 4
In the list of devices click on View Available Devices
Click on Manage Network Connections
Click on the name of the device you want to connect. The connection should be blue.
Click on Add Connection
In the next window click on the Add a Connection of type home network (dial up)
Enter in the IP address, subnet mask, and default gateway
Click on the properties button
If you are connecting using a static IP address then be sure to use the correct IP address and port number of the IP address and local port that is used by the router to communicate with the internet (I'm not sure about your IP address so you'll have to check that)
The default port for a local IP address is usually 21 for a small home network.
To find out the default port number, open your web browser, type in the IP address and port number on the next page that appears, you should get a web page that says "access is denied" or "this page isn't available" (depending on whether or not you have the IP address right).
For example: 192.168.10.9:21 (assuming the IP address and default gateway are right)
Change IP address if you want to use a different IP address.
